Ill-founded money for Romarm Director, arrested for abuse of office

Romarm Director, Dan Tache, arrested for abuse of office, cannot justify USD 100,000 and EUR 35,000. The National Integrity Agency asked the special committee of Brasov Court of Appeal to check up Tache’s wealth.

Romarm Director, Dan Tache and the head of the company’s branch in Brasov, Aurel Veltan, have been arrested for abuse of office in connection with the illegal concluding of contracts for servicing with SC Gold Trans Tour SRL, which received over RON 770,000 without running the provided services, Mediafax informs.

DNA prosecutors say that during July 2013 – July 2014, upon the initiative of the Director General of Romarm, Dan Tache, and following an agreement with Daniel Liliac, the administrator SC Gold Trans Tur SRL, Aurel Veltan, as general manager of SC Carfil SA (subsidiary of Romarm), concluded six servicing contracts with SC Gold Trans Tur SRL, in violation of public procurement procedures (no advertising, lack of inquiry for offer, all offers filed by Liliac Daniel, missing minutes of committee selection of tender). Also Veltan allegedly has compiled other documents for the issuance of these contracts as well (Steering Committee decisions, minutes, reports).
