Romarm Director, Dan Tache (photo) , and the head of the company’s branch in Brasov, Aurel Veltan, have been arrested for abuse of office in connection with the illegal concluding of contracts for servicing with SC Gold Trans Tour SRL, which received over RON 770,000 without running the provided services, Mediafax informs.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday by DNA, the Director General of the National company Romarm, Dan Tache, has been arrested on charges of abuse of office while Aurel Veltan, CEO of SC Carfil SA Brasov, Romarm branch, is charged with abuse of office, in repeated form and attempted crime of abuse of office.
The DNA prosecutors have also issued an order of detention for Daniel Liliac, administrator at SC Gold Trans Tur SRL S?cueni for crimes of complicity to abuse of office, in continued form, and complicity in the attempted crime of abuse of office.
DNA prosecutors say that during July 2013 – July 2014, upon the initiative of the Director General of Romarm, Dan Tache, and following an agreement with Daniel Liliac, the administrator SC Gold Trans Tur SRL, Aurel Veltan, as general manager of SC Carfil SA (subsidiary of Romarm), concluded six servicing contracts with SC Gold Trans Tur SRL, in violation of public procurement procedures (no advertising, lack of inquiry for offer, all offers filed by Liliac Daniel, missing minutes of committee selection of tender). Also Veltan allegedly has compiled other documents for the issuance of these contracts as well (Steering Committee decisions, minutes, reports).
The three persons remanded are to be presented to the Brasov Court on Wednesday with the proposal of arrest for 30 days.
