Andrew Tate was placed under house arrest, while Tristan Tate was placed under judicial control in the case in which they and their accomplices are suspected of having recruited, starting in 2015, 34 women whom they forced to produces pornographic materials that have been distributed for a fee on profile platforms, thus obtaining over 2,800,000 US dollars and 887,000 tokens.
The others days, the Tate Brothers, Andrew and Tristan Tate had been detained for 24 hours on Wednesday evening by DIICOT prosecutors in a new case involving charges of forming an organized criminal group, trafficking in minors, human trafficking, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements and money laundering.
Andrew Tate was placed under house arrest, and his brother, Tristan, under judicial control, according to a decision issued by the Bucharest Court judge, today, August 22, at 7:30 p.m.
DIICOT had requested preventive arrest for 30 days for both brothers, but the judge rejected the request, considering the exemplary behavior of the brothers during the previous preventive measures.
The Tate brothers welcome the decision and strongly deny all the allegations brought against them, stressing that they are baseless and unsupported by substantial evidence. “They will continue to respect the course of justice and remain determined to prove their innocence“, the representatives of the two brothers said.
DIICOT prosecutors claim that the brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate and the members of the alleged criminal group formed around them recruited, starting in 2015, 34 women whom they forced to produce pornographic materials that were broadcast for a fee on profile platforms.
Tate brothers’ wiretaps: Tristan admits to being a pimp in videochat case
Although prosecutors asked that the Tate brothers remain imprisoned, because they would represent a public danger, the judges did not have the same opinion and released them. This, although DIICOT put on the judge’s table hundreds of pages of interceptions, among other evidence. Digi24 has exclusively obtained these conversations.
In one conversation, Andrew and Tristan were overheard discussing the amounts of money the girls were forced to video chat. Tristan calls them “my” and details to his brother the situation of each victim: who worked hard enough, who made a lot of money, or who was sick.
Tristan Tate: By the way, we’re collecting the “lambs” tomorrow
Andrew Tate: Are you checking their accounts? How much was it?
Tristan Tate: It’s ok
Tristan Tate: Oh
Tristan Tate: I don’t know, they haven’t worked all the days yet
Tristan Tate: It’s double pay
Tristan Tate: Abi produced well
Tristan Tate: Very
Tristan Tate: Adriana was sick
In another intercept, Andrew Tate is disturbed by the reaction of a girl, with whom Tristan seems to have had a conflict. Andrew is talking about a punishment of rape, but the word is in quotation marks and may have a different connotation. But the same Andrew says that he was almost caught by the police because of that girl.
Andrew Tate: Who cares?
Andrew Tate: Tell her to get over it
Andrew Tate: Before I “rape” her again
Andrew Tate: She can go to hell with that day
Tristan Tate: I don’t care
Andrew Tate: I almost went to jail for that mess
Tristan Tate: Don’t kill the messenger
Andrew Tate: Nurse Tristan Tate: Leave it
In another intercept, Tristan talks freely about hitting a woman. He threatened to beat a girl who disobeyed the Tate brothers’ orders. At the end of the conversation, the brothers divide their duties: Andrew takes care of video chat sites, and Tristan takes care of pimping.
Tristan Tate: Abi lost her mind yesterday
Tristan Tate: I might kick her ass
Andrew Tate: She was very drunk
Tristan Tate: Or smack her
Tristan Tate: You keep the website producing, I keep pimping activity.
Every week, the Tate brothers earned tens of thousands of euros from video chat. A small part of this amount was also distributed to the victims, but it was not a rule. If one of the girls disturbed the brothers, then she was not paid for a while. They had to video chat at least 45 hours each week.
Andrew and Tristan also complained that their victims brought them sums of money they could not afford to live lavishly. Instead, they claimed that the money from the casinos is obtained with “0 investment, 0 effort”, thus taking advantage of Romanians addicted to gambling.
“Tristan Tate: the money from the video cam was …
Tristan Tate: 7200
Tristan Tate: not exactly a small amount
Tristan Tate: but not extraordinary either
Tristan Tate: if we had to live off this money, we’d kill ourselves”.
Rise Project published, last year, an investigation showing that the Tate Brothers are still getting money from six casinos located in Bucharest. They associated with members of a criminal group investigated by DIICOT, known in the public domain as the “DMS Family”.
Andrew Tate calls prosecutors “idiots”
Although they received milder measures, the brothers had a nervous exit in front of the Bucharest Court. Andrew Tate said that the evidence against him was fabricated and called the DIICOT prosecutors “idiots”.
“I moved to Romania 10 years ago. I found an amazing country full of wonderful people. We promoted Romania throughout the world. If you say the name of Romania anywhere in the world, you are told: Andrew Tate lives there. Andrew Tate lives there. I did nothing but promote this country, to say fantastic things about Romania and Romanians. When people would say to me: Andrew, if the country is so beautiful, why does it have such a bad reputation? And I answered that it is possible that there are a few dry people, a few people of bad quality who destroy his reputation. But now, the DIICOT idiots have now come and accused us that the mothers of our children are other victims of live flesh trafficking. I was kind, I was patient, I played by the rules, I respected the court system, I came every time I was subpoenaed. And they stormed my house again and say that I trafficked 35 victims. All 30 girls testified in our defense saying nothing bad happened. Two others are the mothers of our children, and two others have not even set foot in Romania. They took two random girls and had them sign. It’s an absolutely disgusting performance,” said Andrew Tate.
