MAE recommends Romanians travelling to Greece to take cash

The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) recommends the Romanians travelling to Greece to take cash in order to be able to cover all the expenses in the event of disruptions in the activity of the country’s banking system.
“The Romanian Embassy in Athens and the General Consulate in Thessaloniki, together with the Foreign Ministry’s central structures, are closely monitoring the developments, also in view of possible repercussions on the tourist services amid the current economic context in Greece”, reads the release issued by MAE on Sunday evening.
