More than 250 Romanian and foreign military participate in the multinational exercise for special forces ‘Carpathian Eagle 2017’, taking place in Targu Mures garrison, at the Sîngeorgiu de Mureş, Bogata shooting ranges and at Câmpia Turzii aerodrome.
“Carpathian Eagle 2017 is a field exercise for the Special Forces (FOS), to which were invited military with the terrestrial and airborne weapons from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, in co-operation with the Ministry of National Defence,” a MoD press release informs.
The purpose of the drills is to train FOS structures for planning, organizing, conducting and executing an independent special operation based on a fictitious scenario.
