Health Minister Florian Bodrog has sacked the interim manager of Pantelimon Hospital in Bucharest on Wednesday.
“I have just sacked him. He was interim. Several management errors have been reported. I haven’t decided yet who would replace him,” the minister said, adding that several candidates for this position had turned him down.
The minister pledged to come to a decision as soon as possible.
A week ago, a 66-year-old patient died after a nurse from the Pantelimon Hospital had administered him a wrong blood transfusion, destined for another patient admitted there. The nurse has been suspended from work and received a RON 1,000 fine.
