Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca announced that by Wednesday morning, 118,461 Ukrainian refugees had entered Romania, 46,435 of them deciding to stay in our country, and about 18,000 of them were children.
“By 8.00 this morning, 118,461 Ukrainian refugees had entered Romania. Of these, 70,026 had left Romania. 46,435 remained in the country, representing approximately 39% of the total number of Ukrainian citizens who entered Romania. I also think it is important to note that 1,070 Ukrainian citizens have applied for asylum, and 476 of them have remained in asylum centers in our country,” PM Ciuca said on Wednesday, at the beginning of government sitting.
He also stated that out of the total number of Ukrainian citizens who have decided to stay in Romania, approximately 18,000 are minors.
Van with Ukrainian refugees involved in car crash in Bihor
A minibus carrying 11 refugees from Ukraine overturned following an accident in Bihor County. Two people were slightly injured and taken to hospital.
The road accident occurred on Tuesday evening, on DN19 at the exit from Valea lui Mihai towards Curtuişeni.
Bihor police reported on Tuesday evening that the minibus wanted to overtake a car, but when it returned to its lane, it hit the car, skidded and overturned.
Following a car accident, a 27-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, both passengers in the passenger car, suffered minor injuries, for the care of which they were transported to the hospital.
