Police – RON 3m worth of fines on Thursday

The Traffic Police has imposed more than 8,000 sanctions, worth almost RON3 million, the Romanian Police Inspectorate (IGPR) informs.

There were 800 offenses and the Police have suspended 428 driving licenses.

“On April 5th, more than 10,000 policemen acted at national level to prevent antisocial deeds and to maintain public order and safety. 369 punctual actions were organized and 3,030 events occurred, 2,525 of them being notified through 112,” the IGPR reports.

The Police registered 788 offenses, and 116 people were found guilty of a crime.

Also, 15 people under national or international pursuit warrant were traced, and in the cases handled, 44 preventive measures were decided.

The road police carried out activities to prevent accidents. 428 driving licenses were suspended and 154 registration certificates were withdrawn.
