Archaeologists from Sibiu have recently discovered a Roman tomb in the archaeological site revealed on the building yard of Sebes-Turda highway.
The tomb was sheltering a woman’s relic and they were given to the National Union Museum in Alba Iulia.
The representatives of the Brukenthal Museum in Sibiu, who are taking care of the eighth archaeological site discovered on the sector 1 of the Sebes-Turda highway, say that tomb was discovered on November 5 and it contained a female’s relic, as well as a gold wire necklace with glass beads, a gold earring adorned with a semiprecious stone and a pearl and a bronze coin.
Eight archaeological sites have been tracked down on this sector of the highway last year.
