Romanian citizens no longer need a visa to enter Thailand for tourist or business purposes, if the duration of the trip does not exceed 60 days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Tuesday.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) welcomes the implementation, starting on July 15, 2024, of the decision of the Kingdom of Thailand to include Romania, along with other states, on the list of countries whose citizens can travel to this country without having to obtain a visa entry for a duration of up to 60 days”, according to a press release sent by the ministry.
Thus, starting from this date, Romanian citizens who travel to the Kingdom of Thailand for tourism or business purposes for a maximum duration of 60 days will be exempted from the obligation to obtain an entry visa.
“The decision of the Thai authorities is the result of the efforts supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including through the Romanian Embassy in Bangkok, which aimed to facilitate the process of removing visas for Romanian citizens who travel for tourist purposes in this country”, stated the cited source.
