Thousands of Romanians have illegally reached the USA after four clans of interlopers from Craiova would have helped them to cross the border with Mexico. Almost 4,200 Romanians have been caught by Americans in the past five years while stealing, begging or prostituting.
DIICOT prosecutors and FBI agents have found out that people who had illegally crossed the US-Mexico border were in fact working for four clans and a part of the money they had earned was sent in Romania.
DIICOT Craiova has seized over USD 250,000 hidden in a masked transport in the USA. Prosecutors say half of the sum originates from thefts, credit card schemes and the other half of the money came from begging, Digi24 reports.
