Romanian students obtained three medals at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IAIO) in Saudi Arabia, which ended on September 12.
The International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IAIO) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, was attended by 25 countries with 90 competitors, according to a press release.
The four participating Romanian students were selected through the program of preparing the teams for the international Olympics that took place between June 20 and August 9, online and onsite. They participated in the international AI Olympiad. between September 8-12, in which they took two tests: one theoretical and one practical.
The medals won by Romanian students:
- Andrei Lețu – “Unirea” National College, Focșani, Vrancea – Gold
- Tudor Ștefan Mușat – “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics, Bucharest – Silver
- Alexandru-Bogdan Miron – “Emil Racoviță” National College, Cluj-Napoca – Bronze
- Tudor Morariu – “Emil Racoviță” National College, Cluj-Napoca, honorary mention.
