A second Romanian citizen has been found with Coronavirus on the luxury cruise ship ‘Diamond Princess’, the Japanese Health Ministry told local media.
A first Romanian was confirmed with the new flu type several days ago. He has been in hospital for almost one week and his condition is good, as medical authorities reported.
Diamond Princess ship has been under quarantine off Japan’s coasts for two weeks.
About 500 passengers and members of the ships’ crew are under quarantine on the cruise ship. Only those who had no specific symptoms and who have not been in contact with the sick ones were allowed to leave the ship.
Passengers who were allowed to leave the cruise ship are taken by buses to various railway stations in Yokohama. Several countries have already provided charter flights to take over their citizens.
The disembarking procedure will last several days as there are over 3,000 people on board of Diamond Princess, half being Japanese.
542 Coronavirus cases have been reported so far on this cruise ship.
