Summer has turned directly into winter in some areas of Romania. It has started snowing in Tarcu Mountains, Caras-Severin county since Wednesday evening. The snow pack was measuring three centimeters, with meteorologists saying the temperature went beyond 0C.
“It started snowing since Wednesday at 20:30h and it has been snowing all night long, it still snows on the top of Tarcu Mountians, while the snowpack is measuring 3cm,” said the meteorologist on duty, Patrick Chiroiu.
He added it’s the first snow in Banat this year.
The National Meteorology Administration has withdrawn the code yellow alert for storm targeting the entire country until Thursday night and has issued instead a weather report that the weather will chill, valid through Friday at 8 p.m.
