Slovenia 50-car pile-up leaves four dead, one has Romanian-Italian citizenship

A huge pile-up involving more than 50 vehicles in Slovenia has left at least four people dead, local media reported.
The accident happened in heavy fog on a major highway linking the capital Ljubljana with the Adriatic coast, according to the reports quoted by BBC.
Several other people were injured in the crash, which closed the key route in both directions.
Rescuers have been working at the scene and it is not clear if people remain in the wreckage.
According to realitatea.net, quoting Slovenske Novice, a 63 year-old Romanian citizen was killed in the accident. Later on, the Romanian Foreign Ministry informed that the dead person had double citizenship Romanian and Italian, while another Romanian citizen also having Italian citizenship was injured but in stable condition. MAE also mentioned that the family of the deceased person had decided he should be repatriated in Romania.
According to other sources, some 70 vehicles crashed into each other due to fog near Senozece, 60 km away from Ljubljana.
