Almost 2,000 persons have called the medical emergency unit SMURD on Christmas Eve and on the first day of Christmas, with the fire-fighters having 149 interventions.
IGSU informs that on December 24 and 25, some 2,266 emergency calls were received nationwide. The fire-fighters had 149 interventions and the SMURD crews intervened to 1,838 calls for first aid. There were 13 cases of road accidents that needed extrication procedures.
Furthermore, there were 71 cases to save persons from hostile conditions and 195 missions to protect the communities.
During the two days, 1,856 persons received emergency medical assistance from the SMURD crews, 15 persons were rescued from conflagrations or other special situations.
