Another 283 Romanians returned to the country from Israel, including through Jordan, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces. The Romanians arrived in Romania with three Tarom flights – two from Tel Aviv and one from Amman, Jordan – as well as with a private company flight.
“During the day of October 10, respectively the night of October 10 to 11, 2023, another 283 Romanian citizens returned safely to Romania, through three Tarom flights – two from Tel Aviv, Israel, and one from Amman, Jordan – as well as a race operated by a private company“, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Wednesday.
The MFA states that the team from the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah and the team from the Rapid Reaction Unit of the MFA Crisis Cell continue to remain at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to provide consular assistance to Romanian citizens who are at the airport.
The MFA reminds that Romanian citizens who are in the territory of this state can contact the Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and announce their presence in the region, thus communicating their identification data and their coordinates to the e-mail address telaviv@mae.ro and the number of the permanent telephone number of the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv: +972 54 5643279, as well as that of the Consulate General in Haifa: +972 543 998 038, in order to be contacted.
The MFA emphasizes the importance of the use of these channels by Romanian citizens for the correct centralization of information and the efficiency of dialogue in order to provide consular assistance. Romanians who intend to travel to the State of Israel are again advised to reschedule their trip and follow the “Travel Alerts” section on the MFA website (https://www.mae.ro/travel-alerts/2938) .
