MFA: A second Romanian with dual citizenship is missing from Israel

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Thursday that the Israeli authorities informed about the disappearance of another person with dual citizenship, Israeli and Romanian, residing in Israel. He is the second person with both Israeli and Romanian citizenship to be reported missing. Four other dual nationals have died since the start of the Hamas attack on Israel.

“Following the clarifications sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the context of the security situation in the State of Israel and the Gaza Strip, we specify that the Israeli authorities have informed about the disappearance of another person with dual citizenship, Israeli and Romanian, residing in the State of Israel. Until this moment, the Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa have not received requests for consular support regarding the disappearance or death of other Romanian citizens in the State of Israel, and they constantly maintain contact with the Israeli authorities. Thus, until this moment, according to the information provided by the Israeli authorities, four citizens with dual Israeli-Romanian citizenship have died and two are reported as missing”, says a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
