Meteorologists warn that Wednesday is a hot day, with code yellow and code orange warnings being issued. In Banat, the south of Crişana, the south and south-west of Oltenia and the south-west of Muntenia, temperatures reach 40 degrees. The National Meteorology Administratio (ANM) has extended the heatwave warning for Friday as well.
The meteorologists have extended the snow warnings for Friday as well. According to ANM, on Friday, there will be a yellow code in the north of Crişana, most of Transylvania and Muntenia and in the north of Oltenia.
“There will be heatwave and high thermal discomfort, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The maximum temperatures will be 35…37 degrees. Local minimums will not drop below 20 degrees and will characterize a tropical night”, ANM reported.
The scorching heat will persist in the coming days in the west, south and on smaller areas in the center and east, where thermal discomfort will also be high. On Friday, there will be a code orange in Banat, the south of Crişana, the south and southwest of Oltenia, the southwest of Muntenia.
“The maximum temperatures will be 38…39 degrees, and the minimum 20…22 degrees, isolated from up to 25 degrees in the Western Hills and will characterize a tropical night“, ANM also transmitted.
