Pipera tube station closed down for revamping works

Pipera tube station will be closed during July 15- 17 for rehabilitation works. The access system of the station will be revamped, with trains going only to Aurel Vlaicu station during this time, Metrorex announced on Tuesday.

Pipera station is now serving the new business and residential estates established here, being frequently used by the corporate employees.

Bucharest’s public-transport authority, RATB will set up nine commutation bus lines, which will travel every 2-3 minutes during working days and every 3-4 minutes during holidays, to transport passengers from the tube stations that are closed to the neighbouring ones on the same tap lines.

Metrorex also informed local authorities and RATB about the revamping works and the changes in the construction programme and asked them to take over passengers by the public transportation vehicles on the surface.
