Meteorologists announce that until Tuesday morning the temperatures will drop and it will snow lightly in Bucharest. From Monday at 9:00 a.m. to Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., the weather will be closed and it will cool sharply in Bucharest. Light snow will pass by, and the wind will generally blow moderately. The maximum temperature will be around 2 degrees, and the minimum -6…-4 degrees.
Bad weather affects the whole country early in the week
Rain and high wind warnings are in effect until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Moreover, the eastern half of the country is under yellow code of poles and blizzard snow. The weather will be closed and it will get colder. The temperatures will be between minus 7 degrees in the north of Moldova and plus 7 degrees in the hills of Oltenia.
In Transylvania, Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrogea there will be mixed precipitation, and in the rest of the country it will snow. A layer of snow of 15 cm will be deposited in the north of Moldova. Isolated, water quantities of 20 l/m2 will be collected. In the east and in the west there will be dust.
The wind will blow at 70 km/h in the east and southeast, blowing the snow, reducing visibility and amplifying the feeling of cold.
Polar cyclone has hit
Meanwhile, the polar cyclone forecast by meteorologists has hit our country, with six million Romanians being affected by the bad weather. Meteorologists further expect temperatures to drop to -20 degrees Celsius in some areas. Heavy snowfalls are being reported today in most counties in Moldova region. Traffic road is closed on some portions in Iasi, Vaslui, Neamt or Vrancea. In Iasi, trucks are forbidden.
There is frost in Maramures, as well, both in the plain and mountain areas, with snowfalls in the pipeline.
