The National Institute for Research-Development in Earth Physics (INCDFP) informs that an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 degrees on Richter scale shook Buzau County on Friday.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 131 km and has an intensity of II degrees on Mercalli scale.
The tremor occurred near to the towns of Nehoiu (10 km), Întorsura Buzăului (41 km), Covasna (41 km), Vălenii de Munte (47 km) and Mizil (49 km).
Nine earthquakes with magnitudes between 2 and 3.8 degrees on Richter scale took place in April in Romania.
The strongest quake last year took place on October 28, in Buzau County, with a magnitude of 5.8 degrees on Richter scale.
