Three Romanian citizens have drowned in two separate incidents in Sicily, Italian media sources say.
Two Romanians aged 19 and 27 have drowned on Sunday in Simeto River, near Etna volcano. The two were bathing but were drawn by strong water currents in the Paterno area. The corpses were found two hours later by the fire-fighters.
In a separate incident, another Romanian drowned in the Mediterranean Sea, in the area of Lanterna beach, also in Sicily.
