Two Romanian soldiers injured in Afghanistan

Two Romanian military have been injured in Afghanistan after their car had overturned. The two men, who were on a patrol mission, are stable now.

The two military from the “St. Andrei” Force Protection Battalion 300 were conducting a patrol mission on May 6 around 02:35hr inside the Air Base in Kandahar. During the mission, the MRAP fight vehicle overturned. The causes of the accident are under investigation by a committee set up in the mission, as the Romania Defence Ministr informed.

Corporal Laurentiu Bogatu and PFC Ionut Burlacu were given the first aid and were sent to the ROL III Military Hospital inside the Air Base in Kandahar. Their condition is stable, with corporal Bogatu being already discharged. He will remain under medical surveillance at the Romanian camp.
