The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) has issued a new bad weather warning and announces that ten counties will be under yellow code warning of atmospheric instability, from Monday afternoon until Tuesday morning. The warning is valid from August 5, 6 p.m. to August 6, 10 a.m., with quantitatively moderate rains and atmospheric instability being forecast.
“In Maramureş, eastern Transylvania, northern Moldova and the Eastern Carpathians, there will be periods of atmospheric instability. This will be manifested by torrential showers, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and isolated hail. In short periods of time or through accumulation, the amounts of water will be 15…25 l/sq m and isolated over 30…40 l/sq m”, report the meteorologists.
Locally, such events will also take place in the rest of the mountain area. On Tuesday, atmospheric instability will be accentuated in the southeast of the country.
