Teen mom from Vaslui admitted to the Law Faculty with 9.38

Maria Elisa Palimaru, the teen mom from Vaslui, ranked third in the county after graduating high school with an almost perfect ten, was admitted to the Law Faculty in Iasi.

Although the competition was tight, the young mother was admitted without paying any fee, ranking 16th in 706 candidates, with 9.38.

“I wasn’t expecting such a good result, considering I decided pretty late to go for the Law school and I had only a week to study. I decided to go for the Law faculty at the last moment but I haven’t given up my passion, history, it’s in standby for the moment. I decided to study law for it is more gainful to me, to my future plans,” Maria Elisa said.

She has been recently awarded in Piatra Neamt at the end of the summer school of the history teachers in Romania. Elisa received a diploma for her excellent result at the baccalaureate exam as well as a financial aid.

Maria Elisa Pălimaru is living in the countryside, and she has been commuting all the high school years. She gave birth to a baby girl in December 2015.

However, despite being a teen mom, she didn’t give up school, on the contrary, with the help of her family, colleagues and teachers, she tried her best and graduated high school among the first and got an almost perfect score at the baccalaureate exam.

The young mother graduated social sciences at “Mihail Kogalniceanu” High School in Vaslui, one of the top high schools in the county. She has got 9.90 at the Romanian exam, 10 at history, 10 at geography. With an average grade of 9.96, Maria Elisa ranked second in high school and third in the county.
