The 13-year-old daughter of the Serbian coach of the SCM Zalău volleyball club, Dragan Kobiljski, is among the victims of Wednesday’s massacre at a school in Belgrade, Serbian media reports. The teenager was in the same class as the student who committed the armed attack.
Kobiljski, who was part of the coaching team of the Serbian national team, received the tragic news of his daughter’s murder when he was in Zalău. His daughter was a student in the 7th grade, a classmate of the attacker. A condolence message was also posted on the Facebook account of the Zalău volleyball club coached by Kobiljski.
“The team and management of the SCM Zalău club are with our coach, Dragan Kobiljski, in these difficult moments, caused by the passing away of his daughter at the age of only 13. Sincere condolences, Dragan! Iskrene saučešće, Dragan!”, is the message posted by SCM Zalău.
A Serbian teenager opened fire at a school in central Belgrade on Wednesday, killing eight students and a guard. Kosta Kecmanović, 7th grade student, aged 14 killed seven girls, a boy and a guard. Six other students and the history teacher were injured and are “fighting for their lives,” Belgrade’s police chief said. Kecmanović had carefully planned his attack a month before. He even made a list of people he wanted to kill, which the police found on him.
