The Romanian Defence Ministry started building a mobile hospital near Bucharest to accommodate potential patients with COVID-19.
The hospital is to be located at Ana Aslan Institute in Otopeni and will be a container-like ROL 2 hospital, to treat mild and medium cases of coronavirus.
The mobile medical unit will comprise medical tents and containers, including, among others, triage units, a laboratory, radiology, sterilisation wards and a decontamination area.
Works started on Wednesday, and the mobile hospital will be operational in five days from the administrative point of view. It will be medically ready after it gets the permit and accreditation.
This mobile medical unit was installed before for real situations in Romania, once in 2015 for potential Ebola cases.
