The report on Colectiv tragedy – The youngsters had only 153 seconds to get out

On the evening of the tragedy occurred on October 30, 2015 the youngsters at Colectiv nightclub had only 153 seconds to get out and save themselves, reads the report issued by the Institute of Mining Security and Anti-explosion Protection, which made the reconstitution of the tragedy by the second.

The document, obtained by Digi24 TV shows that, due to the construction materials used the people didn’t have too much time to get out. They compared the recordings from the night of the tragedy with the reconstitutions performed in the laboratories in Petrosani. This becomes one of the most important evidence in the file in which the ‘Colectiv’ club owners and the technicians who placed the fireworks are being investigated for manslaughter.

According to the technical expertise signed by a specialist in constructions upon the request of the Prosecutor General’s office, the District 4 City Hall had not conducted checks at the ‘Colectiv’ nightclub in the last 5 years. The works inside were carried out without any authorization.

The Colectiv tragic fire claimed 64 lives and left other 147 injured. 27 patients died on the spot in the fire, 25 in hospitals in Romania and other 12 lost their lives in hospitals abroad.
