The Romanian air cleaning device that could kill bacteria in 10 minutes

Nosocomial infections in hospitals could be countered better with the help of an air cleaning device patented by a Romanian researcher from Timisoara. The automat device can clean up the air in enclosed areas and is a cheaper version than the ones currently on the market. For now, the invention is just a prototype but it can really turn serial.

The device is mobile and it could be used in a hospital, school or any other public enclosed space.

According it the inventor Pavel Stefan, the novelty of the installation compare to other international ones is the simplicity. „The reckoning proved that the air in that room is disinfected in 10 minutes,” the inventor told Digi24. As it is automatic, it also needs less human support.

Several investors expressed interest in producing the device. The Research and Renewable Energies in Timisoara funded the invention.

The air cleaning device for enclosed areas has been awarded the gold medal at several national invention salons.
