Three Romanians, members of an organized crime network, escape from prison in Florence

Three Romanian prisoners jailed in a prison in Florence escaped on Monday. The three Romanians were imprisoned after a series of thefts, the Italian daily ‘La Nazione’ reports.

The prisoners took advantage of the fact that a part of the wall was not under surveillance, the access to the area being banned. Allegedly they climbed over the prison wall using multiple sheets linked together, ‘La Nazione’ informs.

Their absence was noticed after about half an hour. It is possible that someone awaited them with a car.

The three prisoners, Ciocan Dănuţ Costel, Bordeiano Costel and Doncin Constantin Cătălin, are members of an organized criminal network specialized in thefts. The network is made up by 25 men, all of them Romanians.
