Traffic restrictions in Bucharest during the Fire-fighters Day and ‘Color Run’

Traffic will be restricted in Bucharest on Saturday and Tuesday on several avenues downtown, due to the sports event ‘Color Run’ and for the events dedicated to the Fire Fighters Day, the Bucharest Traffic Brigade informs.

“On Saturday, September 10, between 08.30h-12.00h and on Tuesday, September 13, between 08.30h-12.00h, traffic will be restricted on: Izvor St., between Haşdeu St. and Calea 13 Septembrie St.; Calea 13 Septembrie St., between Arsenalului St. and Panduri St. and on adjacent streets,” reads a release from the Bucharest Traffic Brigade.

According to ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, on Saturday starting 10.00h, the ceremonial of handing the Combat Flag of the institution will be held, “in recognition of the fire-fighters’ sacrifices” at the Monument of Fire-fighters Heroes on  Calea 13 Septembrie. The military ceremony will conclude with fire-fighters parade with the intervention equipment.

Also on Saturday, the sports event ‘Color Run’ will be held in the Constitution Square. Thus, traffic will be restricted between 17.30h-22.30h on Constitution Square – Libertăţii Blv. – Naţiunile Unite Blv. (between Libertăţii Blv. – Naţiunile Unite Square) – Unirii Blv.

Traffic Police recommends the following detour route:  Calea 13 Septembrie – Tudor Vladimirescu Blv. –George Coşbuc Square – Regina Maria St. – Splaiul Unirii.
