Transport Minister Razvan Cuc taken to hospital after traffic accident

Transport Minister Razvan Cuc has been taken to the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital, after being involved on Monday in a road accident, but his condition is not a serious one, Police representatives said.

Transport Minister Razvan Cuc was involved in a traffic accident in Bucharest Monday morning, the minister’s car being hit by another, the representatives of the Bucharest Police said.

Subsequently, the information was confirmed by the Ministry of Transport. “We mention that the Minister of Transport was not driving the car. The licensed institutions carry out an investigation into the circumstances of the event,” the press release reads, according to libertatea.ro.

Răzvan Cuc was transported for further investigation to the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital, having pain at the back and the right hand, digi24.ro reports.

Representatives of the Romanian Traffic Brigade pointed out that the accident occurred around 10.00h on Alexandru Ioan Cuza Street/Iacob Negruzzi Street, involving two moving cars and four stationary cars. The drivers were tested for alcohol, the result being 0.
