Two Dutch citizens were caught transporting 84 kilograms of heroin while trying to cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border and will be presented to the Maramures Court on Tuesday, with the proposal for preventive arrest.
The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) informs that the two Dutch citizens were remanded for trying to get into Romania high risk drugs through the Sighetu Marmatiei customs point, coming from Ukraine, in a motor vehicle registered in Germany, gandul.info reports.
Following checks, the border policemen found that the vehicle had a special space above the chassis, below the front seats, welded with metal sheet, with access from the passenger’s seat.
