Two Dutch who have settled down in the village Ocniţa, Bistrita County, had on Saturday a fairy-tale wedding in a sheepfold near the Dealu Negru area, and the bride and groom were dressed in popular Romanian garb. The food was served outdoors in a picnic style as a few decades ago, bistriteanul.ro informs.
The two Dutch, Ray and Jenny have chosen to unite their destinies in the traditional Romanian style. The two moved some time ago in Romania, specifically in the village of Ocnita (north-western Romania) and have chosen to celebrate the spirit of love in the country which has adopted them.
The two were dressed in traditional garb. At the sheepfold, the two enjoyed, together with their guests, goodies from Romanian cuisine. Also, several hand-woven carpets have decorated the rustic setting.
The two were married in nature, as the registrar came to officiate the marriage at the sheepfold. Friends of the couple from Romania and from the Netherlands were invited to the party.
Ray and Jenny fit so well in the picturesque landscape that they’ve found jobs in Bistrita and got involved in various projects, meaning they do not think to leave too soon. The two have settled in Ocniţa, not because they dislike Bistrita, but because they love country life, far from all the agitation, which was one of the reasons why they chose to make a simple wedding, but unique at the same time.
