Two earthquakes took place Thursday morning, the National Institute for Earth Physics (INFP) has informed. The first one occurred at 5.47h and had a magnitude of 3.7 degrees on Richter scale and the second one at 7.35h of magnitude 3.5 Richter degrees. The second quake took place at a depth of 73 km.
The closest towns to the epicenter are Nehoiu (44 km), Covasna (50 km), Slănic-Moldova (54 km), Odobeşti (52 km), Oneşti (57 km).
The strongest earthquake this year occurred on October 28 in Vrancea region, Buzau County, and had a magnitude or 5.8 degrees on the Richter scale.
