A tourist was rushed to the hospital in Sinaia on Wednesday morning after he had been bitten by a bear while he was sleeping in his tent on Valea Cerbului in Busteni mountain resort. The 28-year-old man was injured at his arm.
„The man had a bear bite at his right palm”, said the doctors.
The man, who was from Campia Turzii, was sleeping in his tent set up near the woods, while the bear was looking for some food.
On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, another tourist, a39yo man, who was also sleeping in his tent on Valea Cerbului, was injured by a bear.
Tourists chased by she-bear with cubs
Mountain gendarmes have intervened on Tuesday night to recover five tourists from Bucharest who were in the Bucegi Mountains and were chased by a she-bear with cubs.
The tourists, aged from 15 to 25, had been chased by the she-bear while they were on Varful Omul-Gura Diham mountain route.
The tourists were helped to get down in the mountain resort. They were not injured, but their bags were found on the track, torn apart by the bear. Fortunately, their mobile phones and ID papers were found.
