Autumn begins with the Nordic Film Festival

Nordic Film Festival meets again with lovers of Nordic cinema, inviting you to its third edition, which will take place between September 22-25, 2022, at Cinema Elvire Popesco in Bd. Dacia, No. 77.

With a program that includes 14 feature films, #NordicFF brings to the fore unique and atypical cinematic perspectives that celebrate the diversity of artistic forms and visions approached by filmmakers from all five Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Movie lovers will be welcomed with a wide variety of films addressing to all ages, such as „Run Uje Run”, „Hope”, „The Blind Man Who Did Not Want To See Titanic”, „Erna at War”, „Tove”, „Legends of Valhalla: Thor”, „My Dad, Marianne”, „Dreambuilders”, „Super Furball”, „Agnes Joy”, „Out Stealing Horses”, „Wildland”, „Beware of Children” or „Tigers”. Screenings will have Romanian subtitle.

“We want the Nordic Film Festival to represent a break from everyday life, an oasis of culture and humanism in a troubled time in Europe. We chose to organize the Nordic Film Festival again because European cultural ties must not end, and a film festival in the red would be a real plunge into the abyss in a cultural industry that shows little signs of recovery anyway,” says Vlad Rotaru, the Artistic Director of the festival.

The festival is organized with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Romania, the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in Romania, the Consulate of the Republic of Iceland in Romania, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Romania and the Embassy of Sweden in Bucharest.

#NordicFF debuted in February 2018, in Bucharest, followed in 2019 by two retrospective editions – in Sibiu and Chisinau. The festival returned, in 2020, to Bucharest, on the occasion of the second edition, which enjoyed a real success.
