BBC buys Romanian TV format

“Mom Made Me a Star” TV format set up by Media Factory Romanian company has been bought by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and will be aired in UK by CBBC, a television for children owned by the public-service broadcaster of the United Kingdom.

Media Factory aired this format at Prima TV in 2012. The format is also internationally distributed by the U.S. company Small World IFT run by Tim Crescenti, one of the most influential TV format distributors in U.S.

“Mom Made Me a Star” will be aired in UK under the new name of “Got What It Takes?” and will include a first season of ten episodes to start with. Each episode lasts 30 minutes.

Thus, “Mom Made Me a Star” becomes the first Romanian TV format sold in UK.
