World Class Romania announces the launch of the second edition of this year’s #BeHealthy Festival, which will take place on September 14, 2024 in Bucharest, in Herăstrău Park, Roaba de Cultură area. After the success of the editions in Timișoara and Cluj, where thousands of participants celebrated an active and healthy lifestyle, the capital is ready to soon host this unique event, which has become a phenomenon in the health & fitness community in Romania since 2012.
“The #BeHealthy festival is not just an event, it is a Movement for More Movement and a symbol of our commitment to the health and well-being of Romanians. Through this initiative, we want to inspire as many people as possible to exercise, to adopt an active lifestyle and join the #BeHealthy community, which grows every year. Each edition of the festival is a new step in our shared journey towards a healthier and more active life. This year, the festival comes with a new action, which shows our concern for educating the new generation in the spirit of #BeHealthy: An opportunity for the little ones to discover their love of exercise and do good deeds at the same time: the participation fee for the children’s race is directed, in its entirety, to the Give Life projects, dedicated to children’s health,” said Kent Orrgren, CEO of World Class Romania.
A novelty of the event this year is the #BeHealthy Kids Race, a charity race for children between the ages of 3 and 12, organized for the benefit of Dăruiește Viață, the Association that built the Marie Curie Hospital (the #NoiFacemUnSpital initiative) and which continues now through the construction of the first Pediatric Medical Campus also at the Marie Curie Hospital. Each small participant will receive a medal, and all funds collected will be donated to support the health projects of Dăruiește Viață Association representatives will be present at the location with more information, interactive games for children and gifts available for those who want to make a meaningful gift.
“Exercising is very important at any age, but even more so for children, to get used to a healthy routine from an early age. We are glad that WorldClass chose the Give Life projects, to which the funds obtained from the children’s race registrations will go. Basically, kids run for kids. We have built a Hospital where children with serious illnesses are treated in the best conditions and we are continuing with a Pediatric Medical Campus for all Marie Curie children. We hope that the little runners will be an inspiration for all those present at the festival”, said Oana Gheorghiu, co-founder of Dăruiește Viață.
