Events with large numbers of attendees, such as concerts, festivals, will be held starting June 1, deputy PM Dan Barna told Digi 24, provided that the spectators are vaccinated.
Asked of the date of June 1 brings along less restrictions, the deputy PM replied: “Yes, there will be further relaxation for the statistics on the pandemic transmission and the number of people affected continue to improve and this is good news”.
Barna said that after more restrictions are lifted, events with high number of attendees, such as Untold or Neversea festivals will be able to be held, but only for the vaccinated people.
“It is a natural things, somehow we enforce the pilot projects that we also see developed in other European countries“, he argued.
The Government is expected in the today’s sitting to present a timetable of relaxing restrictions, from June 1, July 1 and August 1.
PM Citu said on Wednesday evening that he is racing with the mayor of Cluj, Emil Boc, on who’s going to organize a big festival in accordance with the vaccination rate. “I want to be Summer Well in Bucharest, he wants to be Untold in Cluj, but Bucharest outranks Cluj on vaccination pace at this point”, Citu said.
