Boem Club Music School, the largest private music school in Romania, held the third edition of Musica Mundi contest during October 24-25. The competition addressed the children, teenagers and grown ups who are studying music (an instrument or canto) at Boem Club, offering them the opportunity to meet, sing, dialogue and develop themselves from the musical point of view.
The minimum age of the participants was 4 years old and the maximum one, 40 years old.
The contest comprised seven categories: piano for children (beginner and advanced), guitar for children (solo and backing), violin (beginner and advanced), canto for children (easy listening and folk), percussion for children, canto dor grown ups and vocal – instrumental category for children.
During those two days full of music, those 120 competitors have been supported by about 500 persons who came at Boem Club Music School HQs in Dorobanti.
„Performing or playing an instrument is undoubtedly a beautiful activity, but studying music is not just music lessons, but it is an ample activity that need to mix up instrument classes or canto with music theory lessons, choir lessons and with membership to various vocal or instrumental ensembles. And all these are placed on different backgrounds meant to offer performers new musical experiences and to help them grow as musicians and artists. The competitions’ experience is nice and necessary for all those going in for music. We re proud to be able to offer our students such an experience.
In one word, Musica Mundi Contest helps us see where we are standing as music school, and also helps each performer at individual level, to share constructive experience and to meet for musical encounters every year, in a quantitative and qualitive better version,” said Claudia Atanasoae, educational manager of Boem Club Music School.
