CHANSONS D’AMOUR – concert of areas and love duets to premiere on February 3 at Dalles Hall in Bucharest

The month of love begins at Dalles Hall in romantic tones, with Chansons D’amour: the most vibrant love stories and the moments of maximum sentimental intensity in the universal lyrical repertoire will be celebrated in this event which blends refinement, passion and emotion. Guiding the audience through the choruses that make hearts flutter, will be tenor Ștefan von Korch and soprano Cristina Maria Oltean, two well known soloists with frequent appearances on the stages of national Opera Houses and Philharmonics.

According to tenor Ştefan von Korch: “Chansons d ‘Amour”  is a concept presented as national premiere, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, partial to those in love, both with music and with the person next to them. The concert will feature famous musical fragments of operas and operetas, but also well-known songs presented in Café Concert manner, in a mélange as dazzling as love itself”.

The audience will be delighted with extensive opera fragments and passionate musical passages from operetas. Duets as “Caro Elisir”, romantic solo sequences, such as “Una furtiva lagrima”, the well -known “The voi răpi la noapte” from the opereta Marco Pollo, the famous ” Com’é Gentil ” from “Don Pasquale” or “Ah, Leve Toi, Soleil!” – Romeo’s area from Opera Romeo and Julieta will be some of the classic landmarks of a program dedicated to the most noble feeling – love – and its eternal inspiration – the woman.

Until the meeting with the public in Bucharest, tenor Stefan von Korch returns on January 13 and 14, 2024 on the Opera stage in Iasi, in the sparkling role Camille de Jolidon, from the “Merry Widow 2.0” directed by Andrei Șerban, a role in which he was acclaimed this summer in the capital of Romania, within Bucharest Opera Festival.

During 2023 the tenor made the hearts of spectators vibrate with masterful interpretations of the specific score in Carmina Burana, for which his voice is considered a standard of reference and was the only Romanian soloist in a 27 cities tournament in China, spanning across famous venues as Zhuhai Opera House, Nanjing Poly Grand Theatre, Shengyang Grand Theatre or Shanxi Poly Grand Theatre. Other landmarks in his career include roles in on the largest scenes in Romania: “The Barber in Seville”, “Elixir of Love” and “Falstaff” (National Opera Bucharest), “Rigoletto,” “The Merry Widow” and “The Merry Widow 2.0″ (National Opera in Iasi), “I Puritani” (national premiere) “Rigoletto” and “The Barber of Sevilla” (Romanian Opera Cluj-Napoca) and others.

In her own turn, soprano Cristina Maria Oltean sparked ovations in the most recent season of the Bucharest National Opera in the role pf Violette Valery of “La Traviata”, and her name is linked to many other roles in famous works: Gilda from “Rigoletto”, Lucia from “Lucia Di Lammermoor “, Donna Anna from” Don Giovanni “, Susanna from” The Wedding of Figaro “, Musetta from” La Bohème “, Adina from” Elixir of Love.”

In the season of love, the two meet on the stage of the Dalles hall to give the public the best-known love duets in the world lyric, but also famous pieces, in the pop-opera sphere, which will be more vibrant than ever in Café concert versions. The spectators who want to have access beyond the curtain will be able to benefit from VIP tickets. They will be put on sale in very small numbers and will include a complementary experience that will give the whole evening an extra emotion. VIP ticket owners will have the chance to enter the universe beyond the scene, in a personal meeting with the soloists. And to keep this memory alive,  VIP ticket holders will be photographed in the company of soloists and will receive a signed and dedicated souvenir.
