Electric Castle 2024 Headliner Cancels Concert

Queens of the Stone Age, one of the most anticipated acts at the Electric Castle festival, have announced that they are canceling the eight shows they had to play in Europe this month.
The band explained that the reason for the cancellation is Josh Homme’s health problems, for which the frontman of the rock band has to return to the United States for surgery. The announcement was also confirmed by the organizers of the Romanian festival, who assured the participants that those who came specifically to attend the concert of the American band would be able to get their money back. Queens of the Stone Age was to perform on the fourth day of the festival in Bonțida, Cluj county, and all unused tickets for Saturday, July 20, can be refunded following a request sent by email to the organizers in the week after the where the festival takes place.

“Due to illness, Queens of the Stone Age will cancel their European tour, including the eagerly awaited performance at Electric Castle. Disappointment doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel, as we were so looking forward to create unforgettable moments with the band and even prepared some surprises. Josh, you are a legend, and we know that one day, we will have the honor of welcoming you and the band to the castle. Until then, we are keeping all our fingers crossed and wishing you a speedy recovery. All unused Saturday day tickets can get a refund after the festival. Just send an email to contact@electriccastle.ro during the week after the festival,” the Electric Castle organizers informed in an Instagram post.

Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band founded in 1996 in Palm Desert, California by Josh Homme, who is the band’s guitarist and lead vocalist.
