Approximately 25,000 tickets for this year’s edition of the “George Enescu” International Festival, to take place from August 30 to September 20 in Bucharest, were bought on Monday, in only one hour after they have been put up for sale.
A total of 46,500 tickets for the 2015 edition of Enescu Festival are on sale as of Monday at 10 am through the Eventim network.
10 concerts from a total of 22 chamber concerts at the Romanian Athenaeum are already sold out. Thus, there are no tickets available for recitals and concerts by pianists Fazil Say (September 4), Murray Perahia (September 5), Elisabeth Leonskaja (September 6) and Maria João Pires (September 7 and 8), by the violinist Sophie-Anne Mutter (September 9) and by David Garrett (September 15), as well as concerts to be performed by Konzerthausorchester Berlin (September 11), Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg (September 17) and Christian Zacharias (September 20), informs a press release quoted by Mediafax.
Also, tickets for the concert performed by Orchestre de Chambre de Paris from the Midnight series (Romanian Atheneum) are now sold, while for the Palace Hall, classical music fans bought tickets for concerts to be held by the Berlin Philharmonic, Sankt Petersburg Orchestra, Wiener Philharmoniker and Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam (September 19), these tickets currently being depleting.
Approximately 2,500 foreign artists and 500 Romanian artists will participate at the 2015 edition of the “George Enescu” International Festival, the largest cultural event organized in Romania and the strongest promoter of the creation and values of the only Romanian composer who joined the world heritage, George Enescu.
