New Carturesti bookshop to open on Thursday in Bucharest. Silent Strike opening concert

On Thursday, February 12, at 10 am, a monument-building in Bucharest’s historical center reopens its doors after 25 years in order to host Carturesti Carusel. The first trip to the “Carousel of light” – as the new bookshop building was also called – will be marked by a Silent Strike concert at 8 pm and by video projections created by Dan Basu, reads a press release quoted by Hotnews.ro.

Located on 55 Lipscani, the six-level bookstore covers a 1,000 square meter area. Carturesti Carusel is a cultural living experiment of the old center, providing a space for reading, socializing and artistic exploration of the city’s heart. With a bistro on the top floor, a multimedia space in the basement and a gallery dedicated to contemporary art on the first floor, the bookshop is ready to tell a new story on a street with a vibrant commercial tradition.
