The youngest electronic music superstar, Martin Garrix, will come to Romania for the first time to perform at the Untold festival, due in Cluj in August.
Garrix will take the stage alongside Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Hardwell and Tiesto, the one who inspired him to become a DJ. According to a Forbes magazine study, the five are the richest DJs in the electronic music industry.
“UNTOLD keeps its promise to the fans worldwide and brings on the same stage the highest acclaimed five kings of electronic music, along with other 150 artists, including Faithless, Parov Stelar, Clean Bandit, Scooter, Dubfire, Rudimental DJ, Chase and Status DJ. The five electro-dance stars who come to Untold in summer also reached the top ten places in a Forbes magazine ranking, where they were ranked the richest DJs in the industry. Altogether their fortunes are estimated at over 150 million dollars,” the organizers told a press a statement.
Martin Garrix, Martjin Garritsen by his real name, is currently ranked third on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs by fan vote worldwide.
Garrix produced the first song with the famous DJ, called “The Only Way Is Up” when he was 19. Although he made his debut in the electro-dance music only four years ago, Martin Garrix already has projects with important artists. In May 2015, he co-produced Avicii’s “Waiting for Love”.
Therefore, the passion for music won Martin Garrix a fabulous trove of international awards and a personal plane he takes to the highest commended festivals in the world. At the 2013 Dance Music Awards, he was elected DJ of the Year, and the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards, he won the Best Electronic music award.
The Untold festival was elected Best Major Festival at the 2015 European Festival Awards, an event that took place in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Over 150 famous international artists are expected to perform at Untold 2016 due on August 4th-7th.
