Enjoy the sound of Muramatsu gold flute soon in Bucharest parks

Flutist Bogdan Stefanescu and pianist Horia Mihail are embarking on a new music project this month, Street Art Muzical, performing classic music both in conventional and unconventional locations. This time, they will perform five extraordinary recitals in Herastrau Park on August 26 and in Bazilescu Park on August 24,25, 27 and 28, starting 6 p.m.

The two artists will perform “Badinerie” by J.S. Bach, “Le Basque” by M. Marais, “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” by Fr. Handel, “Serenade” by J. Haydn, “Alla turca” by W.A. Mozart, “Tamburina” by Gossec, “Humoresque” by A. Dvorak, “Serenade” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, “The beautiful rosemary” by Fr. Kreisler, “The Danube’s waves” by I.Ivanovici, “I got rhythm” by G. Gershwin, “Penny Whistle Jig” and “Pie in the Face Polka” by H. Mancini, as well as “The bones’ dance” by J. Raducanu.

At the same time, the audience will have the opportunity to hear the sound of an extraordinary instrument in the Capital open air and for free: Muramatsu Gold Flute. Bogdan Stefanescu is the only Romanian artist playing such an instrument made of gold.

Considered a kind of Rolls Royce of the world flutes, Muramatsu has been the first company in Japan that started to make flutes for professionals. It produces only gold, silver or platinum flutes.
