jmEvents, the organizer of prestigious events such as the EUROPAfest International Festival, Bucharest International Jazz Competition organizes eXplore Jazz & Classic, a series of events with top artists from Italy, Poland, France and Romania.
The tour takes place between November 26 and December 6 in Bucharest, Ploiesti, Sinaia and Brasov. The event’s agenda is rich, including concerts for the general public, jam sessions and workshops for musicians. Admission to the concerts is free, within the limit of available seats, but there are also some concerts to which access is by invitation only.
The concert spaces have been chosen in such a way as to allow access to diverse audience categories.
Young talented Romanian artists are also promoted within eXplore Jazz & Classic. This year, Teen Strings occupies a well-deserved place within the project. This is a chamber ensemble of talented young musicians, coordinated by Professor Nicolae Antonescu, specializing in the interpretation of classical and modern pieces in an innovative style, using string instruments and piano. With a varied repertoire, which includes classical works, pop music and film pieces, Teen Strings stands out for its dynamic interpretations and original arrangements. The ensemble quickly gained popularity, being appreciated by both classical music lovers and the young audience.
The next concerts are announced for Sinaia on November 29 | 17:00, at King’s Valley Hall (access by invitation), December 3 | 13:00 at the Carmelite Monastery in Snagov (free admission), December 4 | 18:30 at Enescu Hall in Strada Gheorghe Petrascu 49, Bucharest (free admission).
The festival director, Mr. Luigi Gageos states: “Through this musical tour we aimed to bring music closer to people, going beyond the conventional boundaries of concert halls. We chose unusual and charming locations, such as castles, churches, museums or hotels, to offer a unique experience to both music enthusiasts and those who are curious to discover genres such as jazz or classical music. Free entry to the events is an open invitation for everyone, regardless of age or background, thus strengthening our mission to make quality music accessible to a diverse community. This tour reflects our desire to inspire, educate and connect people through the power of art and sound.”
