Făgăraș Fest returns this year for its sixth edition, taking place July 11–13 in the picturesque village of Sebeșu de Sus, Racovița Commune, Sibiu County. With a vibrant atmosphere and activities for the entire family, the festival will be highlighted by concerts from Subcarpați and Vama, transforming the weekend into an unforgettable experience. The event is a celebration and call to protect the natural and cultural values of the Făgăraș Mountains, showcasing both nature and local communities. It continues to serve as a platform for promoting nature conservation, ecotourism, local traditions, environmental education, and sustainable development in the region. The festival is organized by the Conservation Carpathia Foundation and Racovița City Hall.
Highlights of Făgăraș Fest 2025
Set at the foot of the imposing Făgăraș Mountains, along the Moașa River, Făgăraș Fest promises three days of immersion in nature, scenic trail hikes, local culinary delights prepared by regional producers, live music under the stars, and stories shared around evening campfires.
On Friday, the festival will begin with a guided tour of Sebeșu de Sus led by a local guide, giving participants a chance to explore the village’s history, architecture, and community. As evening falls, Subcarpați will perform in what’s expected to be one of the standout concerts of this edition, followed by a screening of the film Architects of Nature.
On Saturday, the energetic rhythms of Vama will take center stage, offering a lively musical experience. As night blankets the mountains, attendees can continue enjoying good music under the stars, surrounded by the natural magic of the region.
Festivalgoers can join guided hikes to explore the flora and fauna of the Făgăraș Mountains, visit the waterfalls in Moașa Valley and Suru Cabin, and participate in educational activities for children. The festival also features Carpathia Talks, a series of inspiring conversations hosted by the Conservation Carpathia Foundation and guests, sharing field experiences and insights on biodiversity, conservation, local communities, and green entrepreneurship.
A new feature this year is the expanded camping area, offering a comfortable and welcoming space ideal for a nature-based holiday, close to all festival activities.
